The last scene from Wieland's 'Oberon' illustrated by Füssli (see inv. 1575; Oberon, XII, 32-36) shows Huon before the execution in the sultan's prison: the harem queen Almansaris, who is in love with him, enters through the dungeon door and offers him her hand and the throne if he murders the sultan. But the virtuous knight rejects the beguiling offer and remains faithful to Amanda. The painting was engraved by James Heath in 1806 (see David H. Weinglass: Prints and engraved Illustrations by and after Henry Fuseli. A catalogue raisonné (Aldershot 1994), no. 255).
