Walter Serner (born Walter Seligmann, Karlsbad 1889 – Theresienstadt 1942) fled to Switzerland in 1914 and was one of the central figures of the Zurich Dada movement. Together with Schad, he published the 'Pre-Dada' magazine Sirius from October 1915 to May 1916. Serner's manifesto 'Letzte Lockerung', published in Hanover in 1920, is particularly well known.
