We have 4 artworks by Johann Heinrich Wilhelm Tischbein online. We have 1823 paintings online.
Tischbein stayed in Zurich from May 1781 to October 1782 and was also introduced by Lavater to Bodmer (see at Heinrich Füssli, inv. 70). In his autobiography, Tischbein describes the visit and how he captured the patriarch on canvas in forty-five minutes.
