The 'Pixel Forest Turicum' by Pipilotti Rist is an immersive, expansive installation that immerses visitors in a colourful, dreamlike world. The installation consists of hundreds of light spheres that hang from long cables like fruit from trees and glow in changing colours. The arrangement is reminiscent of a magical forest or a cosmic landscape in which technology and nature merge. Pipilotti Rist, one of the most important Swiss artists in the field of video and installation art, often thematises the connection between body, mind and technology in her works. In 'Pixel Forest Turicum', she creates a multi-sensory space that invites viewers to become part of the artwork through movement and perception. The flowing colour changes of the light spheres create a meditative atmosphere that plays with ideas of community, nature and digital transformation. The work demonstrates Rist's interest in making art tangible and accessible. Through its playful yet poetic aesthetic, it questions our relationship with digital technology and creates spaces for collective dreaming and reflection.
