Depicted is Nelly Bär-Theilheimer (1910-1975), who was herself a sculptor and trained under Germaine Richier. Married to the banker Werner Bär, who also created sculptures, they built up an important collection together and in 1968 donated a large group of works of French sculpture from Rodin to Matisse to the Kunsthaus.In: Kunsthaus Zürich.
