Augusto Giacometti1877 Stampa – 1947 Zürich

The theme is probably connected with the freemasonry to which Giacometti was attached and which he most decisively emphasized in his frescoes in the Amtshaus I in Zurich (1922-1926). The size and artistic character of the frescoes refer to the intensified efforts to create murals at that time; at present, nothing is known about a possible involvement with a commission.In: Kunsthaus Zürich.
