Félix Vallotton1865 Lausanne – 1925 Neuilly-sur-Seine, Paris

In the summer of 1900 Vallotton spent three months in Romanel near Lausanne with Gabrielle and their children from his first marriage. He painted thirty mostly small landscapes; this one shows a rocky slope near Bex in the lower Rhone valley, where Vallotton was visiting a relative.In: Kunsthaus Zürich.
